You are showing pictures of Ash's pipes, which are the pre-release version. How do you know that is what they are going to look like, since he changed manufacturers and apparently the only person that has them at this point is himself and 1 other person? Its kinda like going to McDonalds and seeing a p icture of their Big mac on their ads and when you order it, it looks soggy and a lot smaller never as nice as in the picture. Not saying Ash's set WONT look like that when they finally released, but to put that pic up is misleading when you dont even have them in your hand! who cares if the pipes are powdercoated or not? it doesnt magically add 50 rwhp. The key point is that Ash's pipes are mild steel whereas TOM's are aluminum. durablility issues for mild steel IMO and for the price you pay TOM's are a better deal. 1) aluminum is lighter than mild steel 2) with aluminum you dont need to powdercoat 3) aluminum costs more than mild steel 4) TOM custom makes each set for each customer, i'm sure if you really wanted to use mild steel or if you want them powerdercoated or painted freakin purple he might be able to accomodate you. 5) ive had my set for over a year. TDM is very easy to deal with, i IM him or email him and he always responds 6) who cares if you can see tig welds or not? Form over function, does it really bother you that much? For what its worth as far as welds go these are of the utmost quality.
